Chapter 3 Danny folded his news paper looking at the time. It had almost past 10 and he knew the congregation would be more than delighted for him to show up again-like always. He got up stretching. "Well, I think that's it for me." Danny but the paper aside. "Going to bed already?" "Yeah, my eyes were starting to read the same words over and over." "And it only took you what, three, four hours in that chair?" she lightly chuckled. "I'll leave to however you want to put it. All I know is staying here won't do my head any good tomorrow." "Goodnight then." Danny got closer and closer to the door frame but turned back to look at her. "You are not coming?" "I'll be with you shortly." "Goodnight to both of you then." he said, finally disappearing into darkness. Don on the other hand, had a different routine: getting up she picked up her knitting, closed the windows, pulled the curtain...
